The location
Sonway sits within Rau, an active industrial and trading area on Indore's western edge. National Highway 52, the Agra–Bombay Road, runs through Rau, and CAT Road links the locality to Pithampur Industrial Area, about 15 kilometres away. Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport is roughly 14 kilometres away via CAT Road, and Indore Junction railway station is about 14 kilometres from the locality. Haranyakheri station on the Akola–Ratlam line is the nearest railway station to the site, while Rau station is around 700 metres from Rau Circle.
The Indore Metro's Yellow Line is operational, and the AB Road corridor that passes through Rau is among the proposed metro alignments, though no metro station serves Rau at present. IIM Indore lies about 3.8 kilometres from Sonway. Several infrastructure projects are under way in the wider area, including the Indore–Pithampur economic corridor and the elevated corridor on AB Road towards Navlakha. Rau is also home to schools such as Delhi Public School and Emerald Heights International School, and to hospitals including Multani, New Minesh and Mamta.
